4th of July Recipe Roundup

Happy 4th of July Philosophie tribe! We hope you’re enjoying the beautiful sunshine and soaking up moments together with friends and family. We’ve rounded up our favorite summer cookout recipes for any BBQ, block bash or pool party.

All our filled with our favorite Philosophie products and meant for many or a few. Enjoy and stay safe this holiday!


Rice Cracker Cakes

Gather This:

2 rice cakes

2 tablespoons almond butter

fresh fruit of choice

1 teaspoon Cacao Magic Superfood + Protein Blend

1 teaspoon of bee pollen

1 teaspoon hemp seeds


Do This:

Combine the Cacao Magic Superfood + Protein Blend with 2 tablespoons of almond butter. Spread 1 tablespoon of the sweetened nut butter on one rice cake, and the other tablespoon on another. Add fresh fruit, hemp seeds, and bee pollen (granola would be super yummy too) + enjoy!

Watermelon Pizza

Gather This:

1 cup of your favorite dairy-free yogurt

1 tablespoon Berry Bliss Superfood + Protein Blend

watermelon, sliced into circular piece

¼ cup of  goji berries

¼ cup of blueberries

½ cup of  strawberries, sliced

¼ cup of walnuts


Do This:

Mix the yogurt with the Berry Bliss Superfood + Protein Blend. Spread the supercharged yogurt onto the watermelon slice. Top with berries + nuts, and enjoy!

Green Dream Guacamole

Gather This:

10 cherry tomatoes

6-7 garlic cloves

3 avocados

1 jalapeno

1 lime, or lemon (juiced)

1 bunch of cilantro

1 tablespoon Green Dream Superfood Blend + Protein

½ red onion

Do This:

Add the herbs, garlic, jalapeno, and onions to a blender, and pulse for 2-3 minutes until a paste forms. Then, add the avocados, tomatoes and Green Dream. Pulse until all of the ingredients are incorporated. Season with salt, pepper and lime juice to taste! Transfer to a bowl and enjoy immediately!!!


Sweet Grilled Fruit

Gather This:

4 peaches

2 pints fresh Black Mission figs (or any other kind of fig–plan on 6 half-figs per person)

4 T grapeseed Oil

3 T of Berry Bee Honey

Optional – Greek Yogurt for garnish


Do This:

PEACHES :: Preheat grill to medium. Halve + pit your peaches + brush them all around lightly with grapeseed oil. Place them on the grill cut side down. Grill for 3-4 minutes until grill marks appear. Flip, grill the other side. Serve warm, with a drizzle of Berry Bee Honey. If you like add a spoonful of Greek Yogurt!


Simple Kale Salad

Gather This:

1 bunch of Organic Kale

1 handful of Organic Blueberries

¼ cup slivered Almonds

Any spiralized veggies (we used spiralized Zucchini)

½ sliced Apple

1 rsp Nutritional Yeast

1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Juice of ½ a lemon

Sprinkle of Bee Pollen

Green Bee Honey

Do This:

Chop Kale and set in a bowl, or serving platter. Sprinkle on Blueberries, sliced Apple, Nutritional Yeast, Bee Pollen, Slivered Almonds and spiralized Zucchini. Toss with lemon juice, a drizzle of EVOO, Green Bee Honey and dash of Nutritional Yeast!

Green Dream Roasted Carrots

Gather This:

1 bag of Organic Carrots (we used heirloom carrots)

1 tbsp EVOO

1 tsp Green Dream Superfood + Protein Blend

1 tsp Green Bee Honey

S+P


Do This:

Slather carrots with Green Dream Superfood + Protein Blend, Salt and Pepper, and roast on 400 degrees for 35-40 minutes, turning every 10 minutes. Once caramelized, take out of the oven and drizzle with a bit of Green Bee Honey.

Optional: Add our Green Dream Pesto on the side for that extra flava.

Superfood Cookiewich

Gather This:

1/4 cup Cacao Bee Honey

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons coconut oil, warmed

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 large egg

2 cups almond flour, blanched or raw

1/2 cup chocolate chips

1 teaspoon Berry Bliss Superfood + Protein Blend

1 teaspoon Cacao Magic Superfood + Protein Blend

1 teaspoon Green Dream Superfood + Protein Blend

½ cup So Delicious Dairy-Free Ice Cream


Do This:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Add wet ingredients into one bowl and dry ingredients in the other bowl. Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients and then add the chocolate chips. Separate the dough into 3 bowls, and in each separate bowl, add one of the three superfood powders. Roll into one-inch, golf-sized balls, and place onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake each flavor for 10 minutes or so (depending on your oven)! Enjoy as is, or get a little extra indulgent like we did! Sandwich ½ cup of your favorite dairy-free ice cream in between two superfood cookies!

Beet Hummus + Avocado Toast

Good ol’ fashioned toast recipes will never go out of style! Sweet or savory, we love finding new and fun ways to top our toast with veggies, fruits, spreads and superfoods. 


Avocado toast, for example, has just the right amount of good, healthy fats and energizing cards, plus the simplicity of “grabbing a snack” without any processed BS. We’ve also revamped our Berry Bliss Beet Hummus recipe and adding it to toast was a no-brainer!

Gather This:

1 slice of your favorite bread of your choice

AVOCADO TOAST

1 small avocado

1 tsp Green Dream

BEET HUMMUS TOAST

2 tbsp Beet Hummus (recipe here or you can find it at Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s)

Quinoa crisps


Optional: microgreens


Do This:

While bread is toasting, make your hummus and slice your avocado. Spread sliced avo on half of toast and top with Green Dream, then on the other half spread your hummus and top with quinoa crisps. ENJOY!

Cacao Chamomile Elixir

What we love most about supportive + grounding superfood blends is their versatility whether you want to make a delicious latte with your morning coffee or an evening elixir as you get ready for sleep, superfoods are available to balance your mood, support your energy, or ease any pent-up tension. 


This elixir uses chamomile powder which you can make by gathering dried ORGANIC chamomile flowers and blend until a fine powder forms. It’s so important to use organic herbs so you can get the full benefits and not mess with anything that’s unnatural for the body. Chamomile has been shown to help improve the quality of your sleep, promote digestive health, and support immune health. Combined with the mood-enhancing and antioxidant-rich Cacao Magic, this is an elixir perfect for any time you need a little extra grounding.

Gather This:

1 tbsp Cacao Magic

1 tsp Cacao Bee Honey

1 cup milk of choice (ie oat, almond, coconut)

1 tbsp coconut cream

1 tbsp Cosmic Elixir or collagen of choice

½ tsp chamomile powder

8-12 oz. brewed coffee (optional)


Do This:

If you’re making a latte, brew your coffee.

Steam milk.

Mix together all other ingredients either in a blender or with a handheld frother until well blended.

**For chamomile powder: Gather dried ORGANIC chamomile flowers and blend until a fine powder forms.

Cosmic Mint Chocolate Pudding

Don’t let yourself miss out on the pleasures of life. So, if you want the chocolate then eat the chocolate! For an easy-to-make, delicious cacao chocolate treat, whip up this super yummy and mood-balancing cosmic mint chocolate pudding. 


This pudding is full of protein, nutrients and healthy fats from the avocado, coconut cream, and our superfood blends. It receives its delicious chocolatey flavor from the raw cacao powder in the Cacao Magic (which is made by grinding cacao beans into a paste and then removing the oils to create a fine powder). We’ve also added Cosmic Elixir, which is a blend of grounding adaptogens and beautifying collagen with no added sugar. 


Add fresh mint leaves for an extra pop of flavor and a bit of monk fruit for an extra touch of sweetness. Mamas, your kiddos will love!

Gather This:

½ cup milk

5.4 fl oz coconut cream

½ avocado

2 tbsp Cacao Magic

1 tsp Cosmic Elixir

A few mint leaves

1 tsp cinnamon

Dash of sea salt

Handful of cacao nibs 

1 tsp monk fruit 


Do This:

Combine all ingredients in the food processor or high-speed blender. Let sit for 30 minutes in fridge or overnight until the pudding has thickened. Stir and enjoy!

Green Elvis Smoothie

We created our 7-day green smoothie challenge to bring more fun and joy into treating your body to organic fruits, veggies and superfoods a day. Gather This:

1 cup almond milk or coconut water

1 spoonful Cacao Magic

1 spoonful of Green Dream

2 tablespoon peanut butter or almond butter

1 banana

Handful of spinach

Add ice to the thickness and consistency you like


Do This:

Combine all ingredients in a high-powered blend and blend! Pour into your favorite glass and enjoy!

Green Dream Chickpea Hummus Dip

Ramp up your snack game with this ultra-nourishing, super satisfying homemade hummus! It’s just as easy as making a smoothie and only requires a handful of ingredients to create a creamy dip—perfect for pairing with pita bread, wholesome chips, cucumbers or baby carrots!


We made this hummus even better by adding our Green Dream superfood blend which is packed with essential minerals and yummy fats and plant-based protein. You can easily make any food a superfood by adding your favorite Philosophie superfood blends to dips, spreads, sauces and more outside of your lattes and smoothies!

Gather This: 

1 can cooked chickpeas (drained)

1⁄3 cup plain greek yogurt

1 tablespoon Green Dream

1 teaspoon dried dill 

1 teaspoon dried parsley 

1⁄2 teaspoon garlic salt

fresh parsley or dill (for garnish) 


Do This: 

Combine ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Garnish with fresh parsley and dill (we also added some bee pollen for fun and texture!) Enjoy with pita bread, veggies, or your favorite wholesome crackers!

Acai + Banana Green Superfood Smoothie

So this superfood smoothie bowl might not look green, but it’s made with our detoxifying and protein-rich Green Dream superfood blend which is PACKED with superfoods such as spirulina, maca, hemp seeds and more!


Incorporating greens and superfoods whenever you can, even when you can’t get a workout in, can really keep you looking and feeling amazing! Between the açai, the berries, banana and the Green Dream...I think we had our bases covered! 


Tip: Use a blender that has a tamper so you can mix the frozen ingredients with the almond milk while the blender is running. It might seem like more liquid needs to be added but if you keep mixing you’ll see everything start to blend and you will get a perfect consistency!

Gather This:

BASE

1 cup frozen berries

1 frozen banana

1 heaping tbsp Green Dream

1 acai packet

½ cup almond milk

¼ cup water (only use if the base needs more liquid to blend better)

TOPPINGS

Banana

Chia seeds

Hemp seeds

Coconut flakes

Blueberries

Granola 


Do This:

Blend all of the base ingredients and slowly add in the liquid until desired consistency is reached. Top with toppings and enjoy!
