Kai, my 6½ year old, absolutely LOVES strawberries (did you see these delish Paleo Strawberry Muffins he made this month?). He can never get enough of them and always asks that they be included in dishes + drinks around the clock!
Therefore I thought it’d be fun to combine fresh berries with this dreamy Lavender Nut Mylk (one of my favorite calming recipes to whip up) to create an amazing concoction that would get Kai his strawberry fix + provide me with a dose of zen bliss.
The resulting smoothie is super yummy and ultra nourishing, especially since strawberries apparently have MORE vitamin C than oranges (who knew!?!?). Then when you add in a spoonful of Berry Bliss, you've got quite the punch of antioxidants + immune boosting magic!
Gather This:
- 4 frozen strawberries
- 1 cup Lavender Nut Mylk (or you can mix 1 cup nut mylk with 3-4 drops of essential lavender oil or ½ teaspoon dried lavender)
- 1 small frozen banana
- 1 tablespoon Berry Bliss Superfood + Protein Blend
- 1 teaspoon Berry Bee Honey
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
- Handful of ice
Do This:
Blend until smooth + add ice or extra milk as needed!
