Raw Vegan Key Lime Matcha Cake Recipe

I came across Alyssa Melody’s products on Root & Bones and knew we had to make some magic together. I had no idea it would create this guilt-free treat that tastes like heaven. It has all my favorite ingredients in it, including matcha for natural energizing vibes, dates, coconut, and a touch of lime for an extra kick.

We used our satisfying Coconut Dream Superfood Coconut Better which is full of powerful nutrients and complemented each unique flavor in this sweet cake from the lime to the delectable flavor profile of Root & Bones’ He Shou Wu. This superherb powder stimulates the body to strengthen red blood cell membranes, lower cholesterol, support the immune system, and improve brain function. All these potent superfoods in a slice of cake makes you feel SO good!

This is such a fun holiday treat to share with friends and family for guilt-free indulgence.


Gather This:


1 cup pitted dates (soaked for 1 hour if dry)

1/2 cup almonds

1/2 cup walnuts

1/3 cup shredded coconut

1 tbsp coconut oil

1 tbsp Coconut Dream Coconut Butter

2 tsp He Shou Wu


2 cups raw cashews

1/2 cup melted coconut oil

1 tbsp melted Coconut Dream Coconut Butter

2 tbsp maple syrup

2/3 cup lime juice

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon matcha powder

2 tsp He Shou Wu

Do This:

To make the crust, combine all the ingredients in a food processor until sticky. Once the crust is sticky, press it down into a 9 inch springform cake pan.

Blend the filling ingredients in a food processor until soft and creamy. Pour the filling over the crust and place in the freezer for at least 3 hours (or let it sit overnight). Take the pie out of the freezer 20 minutes prior to eating. Serve and enjoy!

Roasted Cauliflower Steaks

Let’s call it a steak night! Well, kind of. This scrumptious, roasted cauliflower dressed in a zesty Green Dream tomato sauce will totally hit the spot. 

Cauliflower is an excellent blank canvas. You can steam or blanch it to keep its essential flavors intact, but by roasting or sautéing it, you can bring out its sweetness. Cauliflower will absorb the oil and seasoning, soaking up flavors much the way eggplant does. But it remains firmer. We’ve added Green Dream to a yummy marinara sauce for a little boost of plant-based protein, antioxidants, and of course, energizing superfood greens! 

This is a super simple dish to prepare, and the sauce is a pure knockout. Trust me! This is the perfect family dish for all your backyard cookouts and gatherings.

Roasted Cauliflower Steaks

Gather This:

1 head of cauliflower

1 jar of favorite marinara 

1 tbsp nutritional yeast

1 tbsp harissa

1 tsp Green Dream


Salt + pepper to taste

Do This:

Slice the head of Cauliflower vertically, like you are slicing bread. Place on a baking sheet in a preheated oven, 400 degrees. Drizzle EVOO, salt and pepper and roast for 15 or so minutes, each side. While your cauli steaks cook, combine marinara, harissa, and Green Dream in a pot  on the stovetop and warm up. Place warmed sauce on a plate, add roasted cauli steaks, sprinkle Nutritional Yeast and more Green Dream or salt + pepper if you prefer!

Superfood Layered Yogurt Parfait

Breakfast just got even better with this colorful superfood layered yogurt parfait! So simple and so clean, it’s a perfect morning treat when you’re craving something a little more than avocado toast. Food isn’t just nourishment, but can also be art and this recipe is the best of both.

Creamy layers of yogurt, flavored with our nourishing Green Dream, energizing Cacao Magic and immune-boosting Berry Bliss plus layered with granola and a pitaya puree, this is the recipe of our superfood dreams! 

For each layer, all you need is a nourishing yogurt of your choice, plus Philosophie Superfoods for added nutrients and a healthy serving of plant-based protein. A few spoonfuls of raw granola provide extra fiber and will also keep you full in between the layers of yogurt–a tasty trio of Green Dream, Berry Bliss, and Cacao Magic.

Gather This:

3 cups of yogurt of your choice

1 tsp Green Bee Honey or sweetener of choice

1 tsp Berry Bee Honey or sweetener of choice

1 tsp Cacao Bee Honey or sweetener of choice


Pitaya Puree


1 tsp Green Dream

1 tsp Berry Bliss

1 tsp Cacao Magic

Do This:

Add 1 cup of yogurt to 3 separate bowls. 

In the blender, combine 1 cup yogurt with 1 tsp Green Dream, a handful of spinach, and 1 tsp Green Bee Honey or sweetener of choice. Set aside. 

Combine a separate cup of yogurt with ½ serving of Pitaya Plus, 1 tsp Berry Bliss and 1 tsp Berry Bee Honey or sweetener of choice, blend until smooth, set aside. 

Lastly, 1 cup of yogurt with 1 tsp Cacao Magic and 1 tsp Cacao Bee Honey or sweetener of choice. Set aside.  

Layer a jar with pink yogurt, Granola and fruit, green yogurt, granola, and cacao yogurt, creating your own parfait!

Summer Cacao Lemon Toast

Summer Berry Lemon Toast

What flavors remind you of summer? The refreshing flavor of lemon is one of our favorites and we’ve created the perfect little toast to celebrate summer!

For this toast creation we’ve taken our Cacao Magic Superfood Blend which has tons of vitamin and antioxidant powers, our Berry Bee Honey for extra vitamin C and healing properties, and Coconut Magic Coconut Butter, making this a perfect mid-day boost.

We love drizzling on our supercharged raw honey due to its antibiotic properties, energy-lifting powers, and plant-based protein from brown rice. This natural sweetener includes pomegranate, acai, goji, and camu-camu (ALL organic!), which are incredibly high in antioxidants. 

We topped these little beauties with bee pollen and dried lemon slices which you can buy or make on your own by slicing and baking in the oven at its lowest temperature for 4-5 hours.

Gather This:

1 slice of gluten-free toast (we love Canyon Bakehouse)

Cacao Magic Superfood Blend 

Coconut Magic Coconut Butter or cashew butter

Bee Pollen

Dried Lemon slices

Berry Bee Honey drizzle

Do This:

Toast bread. Spread on cashew butter, add dried lemon slices and sprinkle Cacao Magic, bee pollen and a drizzle of Berry Bee Honey! Enjoy!

Cacao Chocolate Chip Cookies

We are OBSESSED with these cacao chocolate chip cookies by our girl, Kelly (@thekellycollopy) using our Cacao Magic Superfood Blend! Want to know the secret to these yummy recipes? Avocado!

It may sound crazy but the combination of chocolate and avocado create a rich, smooth and decadent texture without any hint of avocado. Avocado offers healthy fats, fiber and makes any smoothie or treat you’re making - in this case, batter - super thick and creamy! 

Using avocado in your baked good recipes is a perfect healthy substitute for butters or oils and the Cacao Magic gives these cookies a rich, chocolate flavor with extra nutrients!

This recipe was created by Kelly and originally adapted from a recipe by Blair of @balancewithb.

Gather This:

1 ripe avocado

½ cup coconut sugar

1 cage-free egg

1 tbsp water

Dash of vanilla extract

¼ tsp baking powder

¼ cup Cacao Magic

¼ cup cacao powder

Large handful of chocolate chips

Sprinkle of sea salt

Do This:

Mash avocado and mix well with coconut sugar, egg, water and vanilla until creamy and smooth. 

Add in baking powder, Cacao Magic and cacao powder, scraping sides of bowl until well incorporated. 

Fold in chocolate chips and scoop heaping tablespoons of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. 

Top with a few more chocolate chips for good measure & a touch of sea salt, then bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for 12 minutes. These will be super fudgy, but firm up as they cool! Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.

Goji Berry Rose Refresher

Hydration doesn’t have to be boring! Besides our daily dose of sunshine water with liquid chlorophyll there are so many fun ways to get creative with your water. Making a mocktail with a herbal infusion and superfoods adds nutrients to amp up your system and makes it tastier and more vibrant.

A herbal infusion can look like flowers, herbs, spices and fruit to everyday beverages like water, sparkling water or kombucha. These herbal elements have a deliciously subtle taste, don't add extra sugar and add their own set of health benefits depending on the herbs you use. 

Goji berries protect the eyes, support your immune system, and promote healthy skin. Rose provides a bit of magic and a boost of antioxidants, tannins, flavonoids, and essential A, C, D, E, and B3 vitamins. We’ve also added our Berry Bliss which is high in antioxidants, protein, vitamin A, and contains camu camu—one of the world's most abundant forms of vitamin C.

Make sure to top it off with berries and ice for a beautiful spring refresher! 

Gather This:

1 cup hot water

4 tbsp goji berries

2 tbsp dried rose petals


Mixed berries

Kombucha or sparkling water

Juice of half a lemon

1 tsp Berry Bliss

Optional: fresh mint, maple syrup or honey to sweeten

Do This:

Steep the goji berries and rose petals in hot water for at least 20 minutes (ideally overnight) or until the goji berries are soft and the water turns slightly pink and infused with the flavors of the goji berry and rose.

Strain the goji berries and rose from the water and then add kombucha or sparkling water, Berry Bliss, lemon juice and mixed berries. You can add ice for an extra cool beverage.
