My body always craves greens. Call it the luck of the Irish, but I’ve been feeling a little extra desire for not only green foods + veggies, but also green beauty and cosmetic products.
You may have heard me say this before but what you put on your skin is just as just as important as what you put in your mouth. Your skin is your body’s biggest organ, so it’s important to take care of what you’re “feeding” it.
Creating a healthy wellness routine also pertains to skincare + lip balm, and I'm always on the hunt for clean beauty products with minimal ingredients. EOS certified Organic Sticks are a lifesaver when I'm on the go to stay hydrated. Its totally natural and paraben free too, with tons of vitamin E, yummy shea butter, and jojoba oil. They also use sustainably sourced ingredients and you know how important it is for me to find brands that support one another. So grateful I found EOS products, please give them a try to treat your lips!
A couple weeks ago I also told you all about the amazing EOS Crystal Balm. These EOS Organic Sticks are truly magical! It's a great package deal. Both of these products keep your lips hydrated ALL day, which is so essential for a pregnant mama when baby girl is sucking out all the hydration from your body. They're super travel sized so I can keep with me everywhere I go. Plus, these sticks come in fun colors. It's a great mini accessory to match your on-the-go outfit.
Fueling my skin with nourishing beauty products sourced from clean, organic ingredients truly makes me feel like I’m taking in every little nutrient all the way from the inside out. I’ve been obsessed with pairing a nourishing Green Dream Superfood + Protein Blend smoothie with chlorophyll laced Bioclarity for a seriously vibrant morning.
Here’s another Sophie beauty secret since I get questions on it all the time so I wanted to give a comprehensive share about ALL THE DEETS!
I've been getting my eyelash extensions for 4 years now. The ones I got for the first 3 years were not as amazing or natural as the ones I get now. I go to Beba Beauty in Westwood and I really focus on the lashes feeling as organic as possible. I also go back and forth between eyelash extensions and keratin lash lift to give my eyelashes a break. I took them off for 6 months earlier this year because I was nervous I was killing my real lashes, but they were actually incredibly strong and healthy!
I go every 6-8 weeks and swap between the lash lift (which makes my lashes darker, semi permanently dyed and fuller looking) and the extensions. Lilana (owner of Beba Beauty) uses a vegan eyelash and attaches each individual lash to one of my lashes. She's gentle and careful and it's a very relaxing service. Sometimes I fall asleep, other times I listen to a podcast. I love this because I’m not using bottles of chemically-filled bottles of mascara and there’s no need to pack on other eye makeup.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, complete a beautiful leafy skin care routine with a Green Dream facial! Mix Green Dream Superfood + Protein Blend and water for a detox mask followed by a Green Bee Honey spread on your face which can be left on for several hours. Sip on a big hydrating glass of water and add a few drops of chlorophyll to it for a nice green detoxifying elixir! Take some time to care for YOU this weekend with these yummy green beauty tricks.
