Pumpkin, Grain-free, Protein Cookies || Paleo + Superfood rich

Pumpkin Superfood Cookies
As sad as it is to say goodbye to summer, there is an upside to the seasonal shift into fall, and it's called pumpkin. There are so many delicious ways to enjoy the benefits of nutrient-rich pumpkin, which is loaded with beta-carotene, vitamin A, and fiber, but one of my favorite ways is my grain-free pumpkin cookies! These bite-sized baked treats are delicious enough to be dessert, and nourishing enough to be a post-workout recovery snack. Cookie perfection: achieved.

Fresh Juice -- with raw CHOCOLATE!

This incredible juice recipe is from my beautiful friend, Julie Morris's new book: Superfood Juices. It was just released, be sure to pick up a copy for cutting edge, outside the box recipes! (add Philosophie Superfood powders to any of them for an extra boost!)

CACAO PEAR

A juice with chocolate—oh heavens yes! The sweetness of ground cacao in this recipe plays with the freshness of pears like a symphony in your mouth.

MAKES APPROXIMATELY 16 OUNCES

4 extra-ripe pears (such as Bosc), cored

2 t almond butter

1 t vanilla extract

 2 T cacao magic powder

1⁄8 t cinnamon powder

Juice the pears. Transfer the fresh juice to a blender, add the remaining ingredients, and blend until smooth.

FEEL-GOOD FACT

When it comes to magnesium, cacao is at the top of the charts, offering more than any other food. Magnesium plays an extremely important role in the body, including aiding in the absorption of calcium, promoting detoxification, and helping ease symptoms of PMS and menopause.
