It’s warming up here in LA and while Memorial Week will look different this year that doesn’t mean you can’t have your own private backyard BBQ!
Memorial Weekend has always meant spending time with family and this year is no different. It’s about embracing the warm welcoming of summer and more playtime and joy. It’s moving at a slower rhythm and embracing more joy-FUL days ahead.
We’ve rounded up our favorite cookout recipes for any BBQ or pool party. All are filled with our favorite Philosophie products and meant for many or a few. Enjoy and stay safe this holiday weekend!
Fresh, organic peaches (sliced)
1 cup dairy-free yogurt (we love Kite Hill)
A handful of raspberries, boysenberries and blueberries
1 tbsp coconut shreds
1 tbsp Berry Bee Honey
Cut your peaches into round slices (peach count depends on how many people you’re serving or whether this is for yourself!). In a small bowl, mix the yogurt and Berry Bliss powder until well combined. On each peach slice, spread a spoonful of yogurt then top with berries, coconut shreds. Finish with a drizzle of Berry Bee Honey and enjoy!
10 cherry tomatoes
6-7 garlic cloves
1 lime, or lemon (juiced)
1 bunch of cilantro
½ red onion

Add the herbs, garlic, jalapeno, and onions to a blender, and pulse for 2-3 minutes until a paste forms. Then, add the avocados, tomatoes and Green Dream. Pulse until all of the ingredients are incorporated. Season with salt, pepper and lime juice to taste! Transfer to a bowl and enjoy immediately!!!
2 cups quinoa
2 orange bell peppers
1 cup black beans
1 cup corn
1 red pepper
Corn salsa (Sprouts)
Sprinkling Kite Hill Ricotta Cheese
Cut bell peppers in half and scoop out insides. Roast for 10 min at 400. While those are roasting, make quinoa and add black beans, corn and saute the red pepper. To the roasted red pepper, add the quinoa mix and sauteed red pepper. Finish by topping with corn salsa, a sprinkling of Green Dream and Kite Hill Ricotta cheese. EAT UP!
Your choice of vegetables, cut into 1 inch pieces
2 tbsp Green Bee Honey
2 tbsp Liquid Aminos, Coconut Nectar, GF Tamari, or Soy Sauce
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 tbsp water
1-2 tsp apple cider vinegar
Whisk together all of your wet ingredients and season to taste. Add a little extra honey to sweeten the deal. If you’d like a thicker glaze, pour the mixture into a small pot and let it reduce over medium-high heat. Season your veggies as you wish, brush them with the glaze and set them on the grill. Flip your skewers after a few minutes or so, and add more glaze if you’d like. You can also reserve your glaze to pour on top of veggies once they’re finished cooking!
* double or triple your wet ingredients for a larger glaze portion.
1 cup juice of your choice!
1 tsp liquid chlorophyll (Liquid Sunshine works great!)
Organic berries and Green Bee Honey (for sweetness)
Blend the juice and superfoods together. Pour mixture into popsicle molds and freeze. Serve on a platter for your next pool patter and finish with a drizzle of Green Bee Honey + a handful of your favorite berries. ENJOY!
A fluffy stack of cakes is everyone’s breakfast favorite and the more we’re spending at home means more time for getting creative in the kitchen! This stack is entirely gluten-free and made with oats and superfoods.
Oat flour on its own is a bit bland but when you add some vanilla extract, immune-boosting Berry Bliss, and our raw unfiltered supercharged Berry Bee Honey it’s the perfect batch! These gluten-free, vegan pancakes are SO good and are also high in fiber, heart-healthy, and super easy to whip up!
1 ½ cup pulsed oats (to create oat flour)
2 tbsp Berry Bee Honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup nut mylk or a great quality dairy milk like Organic Pastures
Add all dry ingredients into a bowl first and stir. Add wet ingredients and cook over medium heat in a pancake grill or skillet. We love using organic pastured butter to cook our pancakes + waffles and to top them with a drizzle of Berry Bee Honey, grain-free granola, or our Coconut Magic Coconut Butter. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until you see bubbles appear and that’s when you know to flip!

½ cup carrot juice (we used a tropical carrot juice blend)
1 cup almond milk
1 Tbsp nut butter of choice (we used coconut butter)

Superfood toasts are ALWAYS a good idea! We’ve layered up our favorite nut butter, fresh berries and shredded coconut on a slice of GF toast and then drizzled it with Cacao Bee Honey for a delicious treat!
Berries are a great source of antioxidants and are full of fiber, so your digestive system is at its best. Almond butter provides a great foundation and beautifully colors the vibrancy of the blueberries and coconut. Coconut helps to keep your heart healthy, courtesy of those good fats. We recommend going unsweetened - so good!

We’re sharing the delicious grounding smoothie our founder Sophie Jaffe created with Jill from Spirit Daughter! They chatted about the importance of grounding during this time and activating the root chakra.
There’s so much chaotic and fear-based energy in the air stemming from uncertainty so it’s important to find moments of grounding and connect to Mother Earth. Go on walks, plant your bare feet to the earth, move your body (I have TONS of movement videos on my YouTube Channel) and eat grounding, high-vibe foods that activate your root like this superfood beet smoothie!
1 beet (steamed or raw)
½ cup frozen coconut meat
1 cup nut mylk
¼ cup raw cashews (grounding + full of healthy fats, use any nuts or seeds or nut butter)
1 cup fresh strawberries
1 tsp ashwagandha (great for grounding!)
1 cup strawberry dairy-free yogurt (we used Culina)
1 tbsp Green Bee Honey
Blend well! Listen to beautiful music as you make your smoothie, dance, breathe deeply and think positive, beautiful thoughts!
