Heart of the Week: Micuna

As I’m nearing the end of my pregnancy, I have been preparing our home to welcome our newest Jaffe member. Spring cleaning has taken on a whole new meaning in our home as we make it baby ready. It also means I get to stock up on baby clothes, accessories, products and furniture. It’ve always wanted a baby girl and to raise one in an age where I can find products that truly align with my values is all the more special.

One brand I’ve been loving is Micuna. I’ve been blessed with finding the right furniture for our new home and this was the same for finding pieces for little babe. Micuna has the modern touch I adore and all their products are eco-friendly and completely safe for baby.

We got a BEAUTIFUL Harmony Crib that has a super clean, minimal touch. It truly aligns with everything I’m about at this point in my life. It felt like it belonged in her room. The fun part about this crib is that it transforms into a twin bed so she’ll grow with it.

I also have one of their Ovo High Chairs, which is so perfect. I can’t wait to use it. It looks so beautiful like a piece of art. This piece also transforms into a toddler chair! I love the versatility of these products.

As I’m prepping our home and buying all this baby girl will need, I’m taking the time to take extra care of myself, Endless naps, baths and family snuggles. Meditation and tea are nightly rituals, as is rubbing my belly with natural, organic belly creams and spending time with little angel. Much more of this is in my future and I’m so ready.

For this reason, I decided to join their 10 Day Refuel Cleanse.

The 10 Day Refuel Cleanse is a 10-day, low sugar cleanse designed to help you kick cravings, feel energized and connected to yourself, and restore a healthy microbiome. Our guts are populated good bacteria, probiotic bacteria, and bad bacteria. The probiotic bacteria feed off of prebiotic rich, fibrous foods like apples, asparagus, onions, and garlic. The bad bacteria feed off of sugar. When we consume too much sugar, Candida and yeast overgrowth can develop. Having some levels of Candida and yeast is necessary, but too much can leave you craving more sugar, feeling sluggish, and even moody. Stuffed Peppers

Gather This:

2 bell peppers

1/2 pound ground turkey or 1 can chickpeas

1 C canned tomato puree

1 T dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, etc.)

1 T Green Dream Superfood + Protein Blend

1/2 C onion, chopped

1 t garlic

2 C kale

olive oil

salt + pepper

Do This:

Add all ingredients to a blender, blend + serve!

Cut out the core of the bell peppers. Sautee ground turkey or

chickpeas, onion, garlic + dried herbs in olive oil. Once the meat is

cooked entirely, add tomato puree + kale. Stuff the bell peppers with

the tomato mixture + bake at 350 degrees until soft

Peach + Honey Toast Recipe

Our #ToastTuesday of the week will leave you feeling just peachy. In the mornings, I love warm fruit flavors on my toasts. Fresh summer peaches with a drizzle of our Berry Bee Honey is a mouth-watering taste sensation. It looks like freakin' sunshine on a slice of bread! Is there anything better?

We added a sprinkling of Berry Bliss Superfood + Protein Blend for a boost of Vitamin C and some organic raspberries to round out the flavor. Plus, both of these fruits are in season right now so it’s the best time to enjoy this superfood toast.

Make it fun for the kiddos by cutting your peaches into small stars or moon shapes! You can use cookie cutters found on Amazon.

Gather This:

2 slices of gluten free bread (we love Canyon Bakehouse)

1 cup of Kite Hill unsweetened yogurt

A handful of Organic raspberries

A few pieces of Organic peaches

A sprinkle of shredded coconut

Drizzle of Berry Bee Honey

1 tsp Berry Bliss Superfood + Protein Blend

Do This:

Toast bread. Slather on about ½ cup Kite Hill yogurt, cut peaches into fun shapes and place on top of bread, along with the shredded coconut and Berry Bliss Superfood + Protein Blend. Drizzle Berry Bee Honey and serve with raspberries. Enjoy!

Roasted Eggplant Recipe

Simple summer recipes can be challenging when you have more mouths to feed and maybe you’re away on vacation or at a family’s home. I turn to recipes that can be made for a group or you and the hubby. What’s more important is that has whole, natural ingredients for all the nourishment your body craves.

This Roasted Eggplant dish is so satisfying and such a perfect dish after a day spent by the pool or out and about.  Eggplant is high in antioxidants, vitamins, fiber, and low in calories making it a great weight-loss veggie.

Gather This:

1 Organic Eggplant

A handful of cherry tomatoes

Organic Basil

1 clove of garlic

1 tsp Green Dream Superfood + Protein Blend



Do This:

Slice eggplant lengthwise, drizzle with EVOO, salt+pep and roast in the oven on 400, for 45 minutes. About half way through, slice the tomatoes and place them spread out on top of the eggplant, to roast as well for the remainder of the 45 minutes. Chop up the garlic and thinly slice the basil, sprinkle garlic, basil and 1 tsp green dream superfood powder on top of the eggplant. Eat as is or enjoy with some yummy mixed greens or brown rice!

Heart of the Week: Saje Body Products

Soaking up all the love and emotion in these first few weeks with a newborn. So much has changed in our household. My body included. As I’m recovering from pregnancy to birth to back to myself again I’m relying on natural, organic products to heal my skin and nourish me from the outside in.

4th of July Recipe Roundup

Happy 4th of July Philosophie tribe! We hope you’re enjoying the beautiful sunshine and soaking up moments together with friends and family. We’ve rounded up our favorite summer cookout recipes for any BBQ, block bash or pool party.

All our filled with our favorite Philosophie products and meant for many or a few. Enjoy and stay safe this holiday!

Rice Cracker Cakes

Gather This:

2 rice cakes

2 tablespoons almond butter

fresh fruit of choice

1 teaspoon Cacao Magic Superfood + Protein Blend

1 teaspoon of bee pollen

1 teaspoon hemp seeds

Do This:

Combine the Cacao Magic Superfood + Protein Blend with 2 tablespoons of almond butter. Spread 1 tablespoon of the sweetened nut butter on one rice cake, and the other tablespoon on another. Add fresh fruit, hemp seeds, and bee pollen (granola would be super yummy too) + enjoy!

Watermelon Pizza

Gather This:

1 cup of your favorite dairy-free yogurt

1 tablespoon Berry Bliss Superfood + Protein Blend

watermelon, sliced into circular piece

¼ cup of  goji berries

¼ cup of blueberries

½ cup of  strawberries, sliced

¼ cup of walnuts

Do This:

Mix the yogurt with the Berry Bliss Superfood + Protein Blend. Spread the supercharged yogurt onto the watermelon slice. Top with berries + nuts, and enjoy!

Green Dream Guacamole

Gather This:

10 cherry tomatoes

6-7 garlic cloves

3 avocados

1 jalapeno

1 lime, or lemon (juiced)

1 bunch of cilantro

1 tablespoon Green Dream Superfood Blend + Protein

½ red onion

s + p

Do This:

Add the herbs, garlic, jalapeno, and onions to a blender, and pulse for 2-3 minutes until a paste forms. Then, add the avocados, tomatoes and Green Dream. Pulse until all of the ingredients are incorporated. Season with salt, pepper and lime juice to taste! Transfer to a bowl and enjoy immediately!!!

Sweet Grilled Fruit

Gather This:

4 peaches

2 pints fresh Black Mission figs (or any other kind of fig–plan on 6 half-figs per person)

4 T grapeseed Oil

3 T of Berry Bee Honey

Optional – Greek Yogurt for garnish

Do This:

PEACHES :: Preheat grill to medium. Halve + pit your peaches + brush them all around lightly with grapeseed oil. Place them on the grill cut side down. Grill for 3-4 minutes until grill marks appear. Flip, grill the other side. Serve warm, with a drizzle of Berry Bee Honey. If you like add a spoonful of Greek Yogurt!

Simple Kale Salad

Gather This:

1 bunch of Organic Kale

1 handful of Organic Blueberries

¼ cup slivered Almonds

Any spiralized veggies (we used spiralized Zucchini)

½ sliced Apple

1 rsp Nutritional Yeast

1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Juice of ½ a lemon

Sprinkle of Bee Pollen

Green Bee Honey

Do This:

Chop Kale and set in a bowl, or serving platter. Sprinkle on Blueberries, sliced Apple, Nutritional Yeast, Bee Pollen, Slivered Almonds and spiralized Zucchini. Toss with lemon juice, a drizzle of EVOO, Green Bee Honey and dash of Nutritional Yeast!

Green Dream Roasted Carrots

Gather This:

1 bag of Organic Carrots (we used heirloom carrots)

1 tbsp EVOO

1 tsp Green Dream Superfood + Protein Blend

1 tsp Green Bee Honey


Do This:

Slather carrots with Green Dream Superfood + Protein Blend, Salt and Pepper, and roast on 400 degrees for 35-40 minutes, turning every 10 minutes. Once caramelized, take out of the oven and drizzle with a bit of Green Bee Honey.

Optional: Add our Green Dream Pesto on the side for that extra flava.

Superfood Cookiewich

Gather This:

1/4 cup Cacao Bee Honey

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons coconut oil, warmed

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 large egg

2 cups almond flour, blanched or raw

1/2 cup chocolate chips

1 teaspoon Berry Bliss Superfood + Protein Blend

1 teaspoon Cacao Magic Superfood + Protein Blend

1 teaspoon Green Dream Superfood + Protein Blend

½ cup So Delicious Dairy-Free Ice Cream

Do This:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Add wet ingredients into one bowl and dry ingredients in the other bowl. Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients and then add the chocolate chips. Separate the dough into 3 bowls, and in each separate bowl, add one of the three superfood powders. Roll into one-inch, golf-sized balls, and place onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake each flavor for 10 minutes or so (depending on your oven)! Enjoy as is, or get a little extra indulgent like we did! Sandwich ½ cup of your favorite dairy-free ice cream in between two superfood cookies!

Veggie Pizza w/ Wasa Recipe

Gather This:

1 cup butternut squash cubes, roasted

3 tbsp coconut milk

1 clove of garlic


1 cup of your favorite fresh veggies, roasted

1/2 cup shredded cheese

1 tsp Green Dream Superfood + Protein Blend

1 tsp Green Bee Honey

Do This:

Roast butternut squash cubes and veggies of your choice for 40 minutes on 375. Blend squash in a food processor with coconut milk, garlic, salt and pepper. You will use the Wasa Gluten Free Original or Wasa Gluten Free Sesame and Sea Salt crackers as a healthy, clean crust! Line those 4 crackers up and spread on the butternut sauce. Layer on the roasted veggies and sprinkle with Organic cheese, salt, pepper, green dream superfood powder and finish off with a drizzle of honey. Enjoy!
