Berry Cherry Smoothie Recipe!

Berry Cherry

This is a fun, easy, summertime recipe that I look forward to making once the weather gets warm. The pineapple is great for digestion because of the natural enzymes, the Berry Bliss superfood blend is high in plant-based protein + the mint lightens the smoothie up making it uber refreshing! If you want it a little sweeter, a ripe banana would be delicious in this. Enjoy!

yields ~16oz

-8 oz water

-1 T Berry Bliss

-1 T Chia Seeds

-1 C frozen black cherries

1 T Coconut oil or butter

-1/2 C pineapple (frozen or fresh)

-8-10 sprigs fresh mint (or more if you love it!)

Cacao Magic Brownies - raw, vegan, gluten-free, superfood dense!

Good luck trying to keep this raw brownie recipe around for longer than 24 hours. This vegan/gluten-free recipe would be good for about six small servings. Feel free to double the recipe if you want more or if you want to make it last longer. (I usually triple it!)

gather:

  • 1 C pecans (or walnuts depending on preference!)
  • 1 C dates
  • 5 T cacao magic superfood + protein powder
  • 1 T berry bliss superfood + protein powder
  • 4 T shredded unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 2 T honey or agave nectar
  • 1/4 t pink (or regular) sea salt
  • 1 t vanilla bean powder or vanilla extract
  • optional goji berries for topping

do this:

1. Place pecans/walnuts alone in food processor + process until the pecans become small + crumbly.

2. Add dates to the raw brownie recipe + process again until the mixture sticks together + the dates are well processed.

3. Add the remaining ingredients to this raw brownie recipe + process again until the mixture turns a lovely dark chocolatey brown. Stop processing before it gets too buttery. (There should still be air between the small bits so that you will be able to press them down into your brownie pan.)

4. Place the mixture into a brownie dish or small cake pan + press down firmly using your clean hands.

5. Refrigerate this raw brownie recipe for a couple of hours. You do not have to refrigerate it, but it is much easier to slice when chilled. By the way, this is actually a raw brownie recipe that keeps its shape! So it can be good for serving to non-raw fooders because the presentation of this raw brownie recipe is good when chilled.

6. Store this raw brownie recipe in the refrigerator {if it lasts that long!}

TWO Superfood Green Smoothies

Good morning!! I woke up thinking about how badly I wanted a green smoothie for breakfast.
After you try this concoction you'll understand why!!!!
Grab a blender + toss in:
  • 1 handful kale or collard greens
  • 2 handfuls spinach
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1/2 cup blueberries or strawberries
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 T Green Dream powder
  • 1 cup almond milk, rice milk, oat milk or water
  • pinch of Himalayan pink sea salt

This drink gives me energy for hours, unlike any energy a caffeinated drink could  provide. Another plus about this drink is that it really alkaline's the system, helps you keep weight off + it is incredibly cleansing for the system (lymphatic + digestive).

You can take away the banana for less sugar or add more to make it sweeter. You'll still get the beautiful benefits of all the green vegetables.

If you want it to be more savory and less sweet, you can alter the recipe this way:

  • 1 handful kale or collard greens
  • 2 handfuls spinach
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1/2 avocado (if you have a good blender toss the pit in there, it will make it super creamy!!)
  • 1 cup water
  • a few squeezes of fresh lemon
  • a couple parsley sprigs
  • pinch of cayenne pepper

I like this variation for a mid day snack or a lunch or dinner replacement with green dream protein powder. If you let it blend longer and get really smooth, it will even warm in the blender and come out tasting like a savory soup!!

Okay now that I'm drooling--time to make my shake!!!

Cacao Magic Superfood Bark

This is an awesome, easy recipe for Valentines Day gifts or just because!

This Cacao Magic Superfood bark is gluten-free, vegan + has zero sugar if you use lucuma and stevia. Baby Leo helped me put the toppings on and Kai helped me stir the chocolate + coconut butter! Get your kids involved + start young so they don't know the difference!

Let us know how much you love it, too!

Gather:

  • 1 C coconut butter
  • 1/2 C cacao magic powder
  • 14 C honey, maple syrup or lucuma powder
  • 1 T green dream powder
  • 1/2 C coconut flakes
  • 2 T goji berries
  • 2 T sunflower or pumpkin seeds (you could add ANY toppings you want, they don't have to be the above!)
  •  optional protein powder

 Do This:

1. Place coconut butter into a heat proof bowl over a pot of slowly simmering water. Make sure bowl doesn't touch water.

2. Take the bowl off the pot when it's melted. Stir in cacao magic, green dream powder and sweetener of choice. (and any other superfoods... I added extra maca + lucuma!)

3. Spread liquid chocolate into a parchment lined baking tray.

4. Sprinkle all toppings over the top.

5. Place in fridge for 30 min or til set (freezer will be faster) once set, break up into small pieces!

*Add optional additional protein powder (when your mixing in the sweetener/superfoods) if you want! Xoxo

Cacao Magic + Green Dream Oat Bars

It's so nice to make your own bars + be prepared for the week ahead with snack ammo. These are slightly sweet with no added sugar. If you want to make them a wee bit sweeter you could add 2 tablespoons of agave or honey. yum!

{If you do more goji berries and add a tablespoon of Berry Bliss, this would be the perfect bar for valentines day! Use a heart cookie cutter to make them beautiful little hearts! Great gift for kiddos to give their friends since you could omit the cashews and they would be nut free/gluten-free!}

  • 1/4 C + 1 t coconut oil
  • 1 C [packed] Medjool dates, pits removed
  • 1 T vanilla extract
  • 1 T green dream powder
  • 1 T cacao magic powder
  • 1 1/2 C gluten-free rolled oats
  • 1/2 C coconut flour
  • 1 handful raw cashews [optional]
  • 1/4 C coconut milk or any dairy-free milk
  • 3/4 t baking soda
  • 1/3 C hemp seeds
  • 1/2 t sea salt [i used pink Himalayan]
  • 1/4 C cacao nibs [optional]
  • 1/4 C goji berries [optional]

Preheat oven to 350 F. Lightly grease a baking sheet with 1 t coconut oil, or use parchment paper.

In a small saucepan, melt the remaining coconut oil into a warm liquid. Pour the coconut oil into a food processor, add the dates, coconut milk, vanilla extract and Philosophie superfood powders [green dream + cacao magic]. Blend until a smooth paste ha formed, stopping the machine and scraping down the sides when needed. I added a handful of cashews at this point, it's completely optional + the bars will taste awesome without them!

In a large bowl, mix together oats, flour, baking soda, salt and hemp seeds. Stir in the date mixture and mix well. Fold in the cacao nibs and goji berries.

Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet with a spatula [or fingers, like me] forming it into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Cut the wet dough into about a dozen rectangles or desired shape. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until edges begin to turn golden brown and are cooked through. Let cool, then separate the rectangles and in-joy!
