Hi, loves! Dropping by with a little note to welcome you to this magical New Moon AND Jewish New Year. The mystic event occurs in the house of Virgo and let me tell you, it’s a special one. This is all about really centering yourself and beginning to do the work you've been avoiding. The time is now.
Are there dreams you're longing for or a future you aspire to create? This cycle is calling on you to make definite steps toward this goal and put in the work. This past season was a time of shedding and as we welcome fall we enter a season of growth and rebirth.
New Moons are full of delicious potent energy even though the sky is dark and clouded, it’s a time of creation and intention as you prepare for the upcoming moon cycle. Representative of fertility, the New Moon births dreams and goals into the front of your mind. It's a time to nest and bring in organization to your home and work space. New Moon energy is more introverted so use this grounded Earth energy to create your sanctuary. How do you want it to feel from the inside out? Make your home this space.
A New Moon is a time to create your visions, setting new intentions and manifest. Look internally and come to terms with what's blocking you and holding you back. What do you need to release? It's time to expand. Raise your frequency and step up into the goddess self you’re meant to be. It begs a magical moon ritual to honor the occasion.
NEW MOON RITUAL
This ritual is all about setting intentions for what you’d like to learn, create, see or experience in this moon cycle. What do you want to see come to fruition over the coming month?
Here are some of my favorite New Moon ritual essentials:
Candles: sets the stage + environment by bringing in calming energy
Crystals/Stones: set out any crystals/stones that call you in this upcoming cycle; a Virgo set includes: Smoky Quartz (grounding), Dumortierite (create order), Pink Calcite (call in love), Amazonite (calmness), and Unakite (remove blockages)
Sage/Palo Santo: cleansing energy and creates a sacred space in your moon circle
Moon Deck: pull for setting intentions or clearing your mind and raising any thoughts + emotions that you need to release
Journal + pen: free-form writing, or journal about questions, thoughts, or intentions that arise during your ritual
Tea or water: sip on a herbal tea with Philosophie honey or a warm cup of water with lemon
Tip: you can find most of my favorite must-haves in our Magic Moon Satchel for you babes!
NEW MOON IN VIRGO
This New Moon rests in the house of Virgo, the goddess herself. Virgo allows us to tap into the gifts that make us unique. It’s a time of unbounded self-love and truly honoring our inner selves. This New Moon is all about reminding us of the powerful, beautiful goddess that exists in all of us.
I’m a Virgo rising. My husband, Adi, and Kai are both Virgos as are my step-mom and many of my best friends. Since I’m an earthy Taurus in sun and moon, I really feel at home and comforted when Virgo moves into cycle. It brings out all the love and support that surrounds me.
Tap into that powerful Virgo energy! Leave space for your vision and have the confidence to conquer any obstacles in your way. What new opportunities and successes are you actively calling on and working towards? Whatever you choose to put your focus on, you will have the energy of this New Moon to power and ignite you.
Virgo energy is one that thrives off of the natural and organic, making it a delicious time to really nourish yourself inward and outwardly. Pay special attention to each meal you create and give it a little love with Philosophie superfoods. Daily self-care will also give you the focus + love needed to shape strong intentions for this next cycle.
Ask yourself: Have you been putting your wellbeing and self-love first?
To harness the magic of the New Moon, this honest reflection is how you can truly show up to create the life you want as well as be there for others to your fullest capacity.
