If the holiday season has you running around with an endless to-do list, don’t let it be an excuse to skip breakfast or ignore the hunger pangs. I know, I’ve been there too! But your body needs all the nutrients you can get to keep you moving and most importantly, happy. Here’s a fun Toast Tuesday recipe for when you’re racing against the clock.
Happy Toast Tuesday, Philosophie Tribe! For this week's sweet + savory combo, I used my favorite dairy-free cream cheese from Kite Hill, fresh strawberries, our Berry Bee Honey, and a sprinkling of hemp seeds for an added protein boost. We're returning to our Toast Tuesday series! As much as I love avocado toast, I like to mix it up from time to time and create a high-vibrational fusion of flavors for a fun, wholesome brekie (or anytime-of-day snack, for that matter). Our divine combo this week features almond butter topped with our Green Bee Honey, sautéed banana, and bee pollen. It’s seriously so good that you’ll be dreaming of breakfast the night before.
We all know that a Superbowl Party isn’t only defined by the game itself – there’s the hilarious ads, hanging out with a bunch of close friends, and of course, the delicious snacks to be savored over the course of several hours. Whether you’re hosting or attending a pal’s party, whip up one of these nourishing, superfood-packed snacks to win over everyone’s taste buds. One delicious bite of this Green Dream Hummus Dip, this Superfood Popcorn, or these Paleo Zucchini Fries, and it’s simply GAME OVER!
If you live for zest, you’ll LOVE these dreamy lemon bars. Created with cashews, almonds, oats, coconut, honey, and a whole lotta lemon, this vegan + gluten-free recipe adapted from The Minimalist Baker is a delight to both prepare and eat!
Whether you’re a pro at making almond milk at home or want to try it for the first time, adding lavender will add an extra boost of bliss and calm to your day. In addition, the herb is also wonderful for relieving stomach muscle spasms and soothing indigestion. Traditionally, it’s been used to imbue courage and strength, so if you have a particularly busy day ahead of you, whip up this heavenly milk to strengthen and calm your heart + mind.
I often make a batch of these raw and gluten-free oat bars at the beginning of each week so I always have wholesome, guilt-free snacks to calm those mid-day hunger pangs. To make these bars even more nourishing, I add in Berry Bliss for a boost of organic acai, goji, sprouted brown rice protein, pomegranate, maca, mangosteen, and camu camu– the world’s most abundant source of vitamin C!
