Toast Tuesday: Sauteed Banana + Almond Butter Toast Recipe
We're returning to our Toast Tuesday series! As much as I love avocado toast, I like to mix it up from time to time and create a high-vibrational fusion of flavors for a fun, wholesome brekie (or anytime-of-day snack, for that matter).
Our divine combo this week features almond butter topped with our Green Bee Honey, sautéed banana, and bee pollen. It’s seriously so good that you’ll be dreaming of breakfast the night before.
Perfect for all healthy foodies with a sweet tooth, our dreamy honey features spirulina, which is a blue-green algae that is 60% plant-based protein and also chock-full of iron and an assortment of vitamins. The almonds in the nut butter pack in the protein as well.
The bananas provide a great source of potassium and transform into a tasty comfort food when warmed up and sauteed in the pan.
Lastly, if you aren't familiar with bee pollen, it only takes a few granules to reap the amazing benefits, so I recommend starting out slow. This gift from nature is an allergy reliever, an anti-depressant, a weight loss aid, an immune system booster, and an anti-ager – talk about a miracle food!
Gather This:
- 1 slice of bread (Udi’s gluten-free bread is delicious!)
- 1 ½ tablespoon of almond butter
- 1 banana, sliced
- 1 tablespoon Green Bee Honey
- 1 teaspoon of bee pollen
Do This:
Toast your slice of bread (but time it right so that it pops up right as your bananas are ready).
Sauté the banana slices in coconut oil for 1 minute on each side in a pan on medium heat (like flipping pancakes!).
Spread the almond butter on your toast, add the banana slices, drizzle with honey, and sprinkle the bee pollen on top. Enjoy!
