Back To School Smoothie Recipe Round-Up

There is a major shift in energy when we move from summer to fall. Kids are back in school and we’re back on our work grind. This calls for all the potent, nutrient-dense superfood smoothies we could ever need.

There are tons of ways to make quick, healthy, nutrient-dense smoothies that require little effort and can be enjoyed by the whole family. Add Philosophie Superfoods to your smoothies and make every food a superfood! Here are our top 5 superfood smoothies and a cacao pudding we love for the back to school season!

    Kid-Friendly Nourishing Green Smoothie

We’ve loaded this smoothie with a blend of coconut water and nut milk to give it a touch of sweetness, frozen banana to make it thick & promotes healthy digestion, greens, berries, a date (nature’s candy), and superfoods! It’s super easy and you can make it entirely yours with whatever you have in your kitchen.

    Gather This:

    ½ cup coconut water

    ½ cup nut milk

    1 frozen banana

Handful of strawberries (tip: keep the stems on for extra greens!)

Date (1-3 depending on how sweet you want it!)

    Handful of greens of choice

2 tbsp Cacao Magic OR 1 tbsp Berry Bliss and 1 tbsp Green Dream

Topped with: Bee Pollen and a scoop of yogurt alternative

Combine all ingredients in a high-speed blender then pour into your favorite glass and top with bee pollen and a scoop of yogurt alternative. ENJOY!

    Brain Boosting Smoothie

On days when you can’t be bothered to chop or roast veggies (we feel you), depend on your blender. Smoothies are a great meal replacement if they have the right balance of carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats to sustain you. This Brain Boosting Smoothie checks all of the boxes. Chocolate for lunch is perfectly acceptable when it comes from our high-vibe Cacao Magic.

    Gather This:

    1 cup nut milk

    1 frozen banana

    2-3 tbsp chopped walnuts

    1 tbsp Cacao Magic

    1 tbsp coconut oil

    1 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes

    1 tsp Cacao Bee Honey

    1 tsp cinnamon

    Two handfuls ice

Organic pomegranate seeds, cacao nibs, or chopped walnuts (for toppings)

Add all ingredients (except your toppings) to a high-speed blender and blend until creamy and smooth. If it’s too thick, add a bit more nut milk. Pour into your favorite glass, add your toppings, and enjoy!

    Green Smoothie Bowl

There are really SO many variations you can do with a smoothie that makes it super easy to whip one up based on whatever you have in your kitchen. All you need is a good liquid base (nut milk and coconut water are my go-to's), frozen banana for fiber and creaminess (frozen makes it extra THICK), a nut butter, leafy greens, fresh or frozen fruits and most importantly, your superfoods (Philosophie Superfoods, of course!!) Psst...if you throw in some avocado you’ll basically get ice cream and who doesn’t want that?

    Gather This:

    Handful of ice

    1 cup dairy-free milk

    1 tbsp Green Dream

    1 banana (frozen)

    1-2 handfuls of kale/spinach

*If you’re easing into green smoothies, use ½ handful of kale or spinach, ½  tbsp Green Dream, and 2 frozen bananas.

*If bananas aren't your jam, swap 1 banana for 1 cup of mango or 1 cup of pineapple, or add both!

Toppings: cut fruit (kiwi + strawberries), blueberries, shredded coconut, bee pollen and edible flowers

Add everything to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth + creamy! Pour into your favorite glass, or bowl + ENJOY!

This pudding is full of protein, nutrients and healthy fats from the avocado, coconut cream, and our superfood blends.
