Raw, healthy-er donut holes...could there really be such a thing?
I've been wanting to make a healthier alternative to donut holes. Obviously I had to make them even more nutritional with a cacao magic superfood boost!! But when you make something healthy you still want it to taste great right? Well these won't disappoint. They are yummy!!
Here is the recipe:
- 1/2 cup Brazil nuts
- 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1/4 cup ground oat powder (in a blender or food processor grind old fashioned oats until it forms a powder)
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 4 tbsp coconut oil
- 4 tbsp raw honey
- Cacao Magic superfood powder for coating the donut holes.
In a food processor mix the first 5 ingredients until the nuts are ground up. Then mix in the coconut oil and honey until all combined. Do not over mix; the coconut oil can get warm and melt if over mixed. Form into balls and roll in Cacao Magic to coat. Put them in the refrigerator and let them cool and harden, then enjoy! If you cannot wait you can eat immediately!!!
