I don’t need to tell you how crazy last year was but in many ways, it’s been great. There’s been many revelations, shifts and changes. It’s never all bad and that’s the beauty of this balancing act in life. The dark and the light, the ebbs and the flows. With all that transpired last year, I’ve had to unlearn and relearn ways to manage my stress, shake up my energy and invite more inspired, fresh energy. I’m making this year all about bringing in radiant, inspired energy, joyful (and often challenging) transformation and continuing my path in radical transparency.
This is not the year to accept anything less. I will do all I can to be around only empowered energy and work with women and other creators who walk their walk and aren’t afraid to speak up - even when their voice shakes.
It can get easy to feel as if you’re stuck and not getting anywhere especially after the year we had. We can feel like we’re in an endless loop. But loves, it’s only Groundhog’s Day if you allow it to be. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or overworked it’s time to shake things up. Get back into your body and back into alignment with your highest selves. There is so much wisdom in the gifts of last year. I continue to strip away the distractions so I can focus on what actually brings me joy.
What’s one thing you can do right now to shake up your energy?
Put on your favorite feel-good music. One that gets you into your body and dance! If you don’t feel comfortable dancing you can start by shaking out your hands, arms, legs then your whole body and soon you’ll find you’re dancing. Invite in your kiddos, partner, furry friend or dance by yourself. Really LET GO and go all out. No one is watching. This is for you!
Hydrate with a big glass of Liquid Sunshine chlorophyll water and stay present to how magical life can be. You have the opportunity each day to soak in the moments and lean into more fun. Let the pressure go.
Stay Radical and Sit in the Discomfort
Our MEDICINE in life is where you find yourself uncomfortable and what you’re being asked to look at and work on right now. It is our responsibility to choose to elevate for the greater good and confront the discomforts because those are the areas in your life that are no longer in alignment.
We have the ability to change our society by confronting it. This is the bare minimum of what it will take to keep our humanity going. To heal collective wounds and traumas.
Where are we confronting the parts of ourselves where we could’ve been different, said something differently, stood up for something different? We have to look inward to help the outward world. It’s uncomfortable and it should be. So we can grow and evolve.
With this deep reflection and layers of internal processing, honoring and work comes also taking more care of our bodies and spirits. Only you know what that looks like. For me, it’s more rest, sleep, crying, journaling, candles, self-love, less time online, introspection and dancing!
